In 1843, in a remote corner of east Tennessee’s newly formed Ocoee District, a disappointed prospector searching for gold on Tater Creek discovered that the shining red crystals he had found were not gold, but “merely” copper. Our 1843 Bourbon pays tribute to the spirit and dedication of the men and women who made the Ocoee District in East Tennessee the center of Copper Mining for decades.

Aged 2 Years in vintage American Oak Bourbon Barrels.
